I take no responsibility for these directions, a previous buyer sent them to me, and I have posted them for reference.

| Here are some quick instructions that I have found on the internet.
Please read them carefully. There are a few things you need to be made aware
of and the first one is that this is not a 100% guaranteed fix for your NES.
You may have damaged something else during use a while back. The second
thing is that you are trying this on your own and I, in no way, shape, or
form, am liable if you bunk up your NES even more than it was before. My NES
currently works great but on occasion it has a tad bit of trouble reading
games if they are dirty. We recommended that you clean each of the games
prior to playing them in the "new" system. You can use a Q-tip dipped into
rubbing alcohol and just wipe along the teeth of the cartridge. Make sure
you don't get any alcohol inside the cartridge and always dry off the
cartridge's teeth with a dry Q-tip before testing the game.
The only tool you should need for installation is a Philips screwdriver and a clean place to work.
Before reassembling the NES, make sure the cartridge slot will click down into place when putting a game in. If it doesn’t, loosen the screws and then pull the cartridge slot forward just a little. The front edge of the slot needs to hook under the motherboard in order to fit properly. Reassembly
Remember, your system will only play clean games. If you try and put a dirty cartridge in your newly refurbished system, it probably will not work. You took the time to repair the system, now take the time to clean each and every game you have so you do not dirty up the new 72 pin connector you just installed. Make sense? |
